Hi everyone! So I'm not really sure what else you want me to post about. Please Facebook friend me (Danielle Deimer) and send me a private message or e-mail me at [email protected] and send me some questions! I will post anonymous questions and my answers within a few days. For now, I will just tell you a little bit about myself. Like I posted earlier, I am twenty years old and I live in Wisconsin, although, I am moving to Arizona in about a month or two. When I was sick, I joined every team I could because I didn't want anything holding me back. I played volleyball, baseball, basketball, joined dance, made the varsity pom & dance team as a freshmen, joined color guard, musical, karate, baton, show choir, band (flute and piano), jazz choir, ice skating, swimming, and I'm sure more things that I'm forgetting. As of right now, I got my CNA certification and licensing when I was 17 years old (right after I was diagnosed). I worked as a CNA for a total of about a year and a half until I got spasmodic torticollis in my neck. I then applied for a phlebotomy position and currently draw blood all day. I will be leaving my phlebotomy job in 2 weeks to move to Arizona for school. I started off going to school for Radiography and Radiation Therapy, and have recently decided to go into Nuclear Medicine Technology or Ultrasound Tech. I also run a cancer benefit with my parents in Wisconsin in my free time. Feel free to visit our website at www.wolfriverraftrace.com. It's a great cause that we started in memory of my aunt, who passed away 5 years ago at the age of 31. She went overseas to serve our country, came home, was diagnosed with cancer, and passed away 2 months later. Our event puts some fun into the fight. Last year we raised $13,500 for cancer research and local cancer support programs and services. Our event is in 3 weeks. If you're interested in attending or donating, please visit our website. Thank you for your support! |
